Born in 1961, John Richmond graduated from Kingston Polytechnic and worked as a temporary designer for Emporio Armani, Fiorucci and Joseph Tricot. Following this amazing start Richmond formed his first label, Richmond-Cornejo, a collaboration with designer Maria Cornejo, in 1984. 

During 1987 John Rickmond went out on his own. In his career Richmond has dressed pop icons such as Bryan Adams, David Bowie, Madonna and Mick Jagger; George Michael even wore Richmond's ‘Destroy jacket’ in the video for 'Faith'. John Richmond designs are identify with the spirit of rock and the smell of leather.

RICHMOND combines the Richmond X and Richmond Denim collections for the Pret a Porter market. The apparel collection is complemented and accompanied by a range of RICHMOND accessories, footwear, kidswear, beachwear and underwear.

The RICHMOND X distribution network is being upgraded by an injection of mono-brand boutique openings, which will also include stores dealing exclusively in accessories. The project entails the opening of over a hundred RICHMOND stores before 2011, but you cn buy Richmond X at Stanwells right now!

The RICHMOND X brand is aided by the support of Saverio Moschillo, allowing all collections to be produced exclusively as “Made in Italy” through Falber Confezioni based in Forli, and also the strong distribution network of the Moschillo showrooms based all over the world (Milan, Naples, Rome, Paris, Munich, Düsseldof, London and New York).

Richmond X is known for the signature leather biker jackets, oil-printed T-shirts, acid-orange pleated skirts, sleek pencil skirts and long-line sweaters. These pieces are perfect for this autumn / Winter season which is all about the ‘hot’ biker look.
