Made in Heaven denim jeans are a London jeans brand, that have been rebranded and renewed by Chloe Lonsdale. Made in Heaven Jeans were born out of a family obsession with denim. Denim is in Chloe's genes as Chloe's godfather Tony O'Gorman, was the original creator of the Made in Heaven jeans brand, which Chloe has now renewed and remarketed. Chloe's father, Tony Lonsdale, created the Jeans Machine shop which could be found on High Streets throughout the UK in the late 1960s and 1970s, and her mother, Chekkie, was a top 70's denim model
In the early '70s Chloe's Dad bought a van full of old denims and tried to wholesale them to all the trendy boutiques in London, but he was laughed out of every store. So in an attempt to salvage some profit and dignity, he took a shop on the King's Road. He was sure that if he sold it within three months he would be ok – but amazingly he was sold out within three weeks.
Chloe's father became known as the Blue Jean King and his wife – when she modeled designs from his new denim range called Made in Heaven.
Made in Heaven jeans have an understated logo, although they all have an embroidered flying dove on the right hand pocket at them back. The styling of the jeans tends to be higher waisted, smart and sophisticated, with rivets and proper styling. They are made from high quality denim that washes well, with the addition of lycra for a good fit.
The Made in Heaven brand is sold in the posh department stores in the UK, including Harrods and Harvey Nichols. A number of smaller, exclusive boutiques also stock Made in Heaven, including Stanwells, Jones in Swansea, Juno in Oxford, Chameleon in Cumbria, Twenty in Farnham and Ursula in Armagh, Northern Ireland.
